Brennan Ellis, Krum, RB

Krum scored three offensive touchdowns in Friday’s win over Paradise, and Ellis had all of them. The Bobcats’ new running back carried the ball 31 times for 234 yards and scored twice on the ground. He added three catches for 62 yards, including a 41-yard touchdown reception.

Dustin Ferguson, Ponder, WR

The Ponder wide receiver had just two catches on the night, but they both lifted the Lions to a quick start and a 42-24 win over Nocona. Ferguson scored Ponder’s first two touchdowns of the night in the first quarter when he scored on receptions of 35 and 84 yards from quarterback Brady Anderson.

Travis Garrett, Pilot Point, QB

The junior quarterback helped the Bearcats even their record with a win over rival Aubrey. Garrett rushed for two touchdowns and passed for another as he found DaCoven Bailey for the game-winning 23-yard touchdown strike with 28 seconds to play. Garrett rushed for 149 yards and threw for 93.

Brandon Mann, Sanger, QB

Mann ran a balanced Indians offense to help them roll to a second straight win after he threw for 178 yards and a touchdown. But he did his most damage on the ground as he rushed for 128 yards on 17 carries and scored three times, including a 45-yard touchdown in the second quarter.

Connor Wilson, Argyle, DB/RB

The versatile Texas Tech pledge did a little bit of everything for the Eagles in their resounding victory over a quality Kennedale team. Wilson, one of the better defensive players in the area, recorded seven tackles for the Eagles and scored three touchdowns (two rushing, one receiving) along with a two-point conversion reception.
