The 250-pound senior had a career night in Friday’s 33-0 victory over Lewisville that helped keep the Raiders on track for the postseason. Strait racked up 10 tackles, with three coming behind the line of scrimmage. He also had two sacks and got a piece of a blocked punt.
Anthony Taylor, Guyer, RB
After his team trailed 10-0 after a quarter of play, the junior running back knew he needed to provide a spark in what amounted to the District 5-4A title game against Wichita Falls Rider. Taylor came through with a 36-yard catch-and-run for a touchdown to get Guyer on the board and later added two rushing TDs while finishing with 127 total yards.
