Andrus snaps 10th-inning tie with infield single, Rangers beat Rays 4-3

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. -- Elvis Andrus picked a nice time to break out of a hitting funk. The Texas shortstop drove in his first runs since July 2, smacking a solo homer to stop an 0-for-16 skid and then snapping a 10th-inning tie with a two-out infield single that gave the Rangers a 4-3 victory against the Tampa Bay Rays on Friday night.

Andrew Benintendi went 5-for-5 with two homers, six RBIs and a terrific catch in left field, and David Price struck out nine over six scoreless innings as the Boston Red Sox stretched the longest winning streak in the majors to six games with an 11-4 victory over the Rangers on Tuesday night.
