TWU bounced back and defeated SNU in four sets. Three TWU players reached double digits in kills, led by Josie Santos and Hillary Shaffer with 11 apiece and Chloe’ Tate with 10.

“We hit a bump in the road today against Harding,” TWU coach Shelly Barberee said. “We didn’t play great but played decent today to finish the tournament with a 3-1 record against some good teams. We are done with the tournaments for the year and ready to concentrate on the conference schedule.

“Hillary really stood out today offensively. She played a great game against Southern Nazarene.”

The Pioneers will return to action at 7 p.m. Friday when they travel to Wichita Falls to face Midwestern State.
