“We lost both games to Tarleton last season, and our goal was to sweep the season series this year,” TWU coach Shelly Barberee said. “We were on a mission today and we accomplished our goal. Our middles [Alves and Tate] have been consistent and again played a great game. Morgan also played a good game on defense. She had some great digs, especially in the third set when they tied the score.”
The Pioneers (16-8, 7-4 Lone Star) will host Cameron at 6 p.m. Friday.
