Softball: Tourney final set for Sunday at TWU

TWU will host the RBI Softball World Series championship game at 11 a.m. Sunday at Pioneer Field.

The RBI (Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities) program is baseball’s youth initiative to give young people from underserved communities the opportunity to play baseball and softball.

TWU, the Rangers and the city of Southlake hosted eight softball teams for the 2014 event. This year’s 19-and-under teams are Atlanta RBI, Cleveland Baseball Federation RBI, Harrisburg (Pa.) RBI, Hilo (Hawaii) Nobu Yamauchi RBI League, Hoboken (N.J.) RBI, Houston Astros RBI, Minnesota Twins RBI, and RBI Santo Domingo and San Pedro de Macoris (Dominican Republic).
