Texas Woman's University and the NCAA announced a partnership with the Fort Worth Convention and Visitors Bureau on Tuesday to host the Women's Gymnastics National Championships for four years, beginning in 2019.

The Fort Worth Convention Center will be the site for the 2019 championship before the event is moved to  the soon-to-be constructed Dickies Arena in 2020, 2021 and 2022.

"Texas Woman's is excited to once again serve as the host institution for this prestigious national championship," Chalese Connors, director of athletics at TWU. said. "We know that the student-athletes and their fans will enjoy the best in NCAA women's collegiate gymnastics in a highly competitive and thrilling environment. We're honored to help bring this event back to Texas."

The Fort Worth Convention Center was home to the NCAA championships in 2015 and 2016.

Dickies Arena will be a 14,000 seat, multipurpose venue located adjacent to the Will Rogers Memorial Center. The arena will be owned by the City of Fort Worth and is scheduled to open in November 2019.
