TWU gymnastics coach Lisa Bowerman continued the process of building for the future Wednesday with the signing of four gymnasts.

Ellie Ambs of New Braunfels, Sadie Bish of Wilmore, Kentucky, Domi Bonzagni of Roanoke and Isabel Goyco of San Antonio will join the Pioneers in the fall of 2018.

"I am thrilled to officially welcome these four to our Pioneer gymnastics family," said Bowerman. "Each of these young ladies brings unique skills and personalities that will be great additions to our program. Ellie, Domi, Isabel and Sadie all have a huge passion for the sport of gymnastics and have the genuine desire to not just be collegiate student-athletes but to be Pioneers."

Ambs is a two-time Level 10 state and regional qualifier. In 2016, her team was the first-place Level 10 squad at the Texas Shoot Out.

Ambs is a 4.0 student while being a team policy debate national semifinalist, a national finalist in persuasive speaking and apologetics speaking, a team policy captain and a Delta Nu Honor Society member.

Bish comes to the Pioneers as a runner-up at the Kentucky state championships in 2017 with Legacy Gymnastics. She is a Region 5 Level 10 qualifier and took third place at the Eastern Level 9 championships as well as the Region 5 Level 9 championships in 2015.

Bonzagni has some familiarity with Pioneer gymnastics, as she is coached by former TWU gymnast Mollie Blessing along with head coach Tina Martin at U.S. Gold Gymnastics in Roanoke. Bonzagni is a two-time state and regional qualifier.

Goyco is a three-time state and regional qualifier with Aerial Athletic of San Antonio.

The Pioneers will showcase this season's team at 2 p.m. Dec. 3 during their annual Holiday Spectacular at Kitty Magee Arena.
