McMath kept its record perfect in downing Calhoun 37-8 in a lopsided eighth-grade A affair.
Spearheading the offense attack was Edson Vasquez, who was 5-of-8 passing for 112 yards and two touchdowns. Meanwhile, Xavier Scott had 63 yards on only three carries and one TD. He, too, had seven tackles.
Also for the Tigers (4-0), Zack Garza had two punt returns for 70 yards, Keith Cole had 60 receiving yards and an interception and Dezmond Johnson had six tackles, including three for losses.
McMath eighth-grade B 14, Calhoun 0
McMath utilized a stingy defense to produce a shutout against Calhoun.
For the 2-2 Tigers, Kris Kerr had an interception, while Cody Roche had 10 tackles and Caleb Crockett had six tackles.
Dylan Snider started the scoring with a 91-yard interception return. Later, Pedro Reza scored on a 40-yard run and Crockett had a safety.
Crownover eighth-grade A 35, Harpool 0
Michael Carrillo rushed for 140 yards and scored on runs of 60, 20 and 53 yards in leading Crownover to a huge win against Harpool.
Carrillo was equally productive on defense making six tackles for losses. Meanwhile, on offense, Brandon Daniel, who had 83 yards rushing on six carries, scored on a 35-yard touchdown run and Dharius Timmons scored on a 70-yard run.
In addition, the Cowboys (4-0) got two interceptions from Coleman Grubbs and a blocked punt from Mario Caballero.
In the B-team game, Harpool scored a 26-6 victory.
Navo eighth-grade A 32, Little Elm 0
Bryce Mason scored on runs of 25 and 10 yards in leading Navo to a win against Little Elm.
Navo (2-2) also got a 3-yard TD run from quarterback Kyle Smith while Cameron Wax caught a 25-yard touchdown pass and ran 5 yards for another.
Harpool seventh-grade A 22, Crownover 12
Myron Mason rushed for 103 yards and scored a touchdown in leading Harpool to a win against Crownover.
Mason started the scoring for the Longhorns (2-0-1) with an 18-yard touchdown run. Later, Christian Moore scored from 9 yards out and finally Josh Viera threw a 4-yard TD pass to Luke Helgesen.
For Crownover (0-3), Dillon Haas threw a 48-yard TD pass to Chris Navarrette and a 23-yard pass to Joseph Pershall. Haas was 11-for-24 for 120 yards.
Harpool seventh-grade B 8, Crownover 6
Harpool used a rushing touchdown by Ashton Crawford to produce a close win against Crownover.
The Longhorns improved to 3-0.
Little Elm seventh-grade A 20, Navo 6
Little Elm remained unbeaten with a 20-6 win against Navo in a seventh-grade A game Monday night.
Navo's lone score came on a 40-yard pass from Andrew DeLaRosa to Jordan Woodard.
Little Elm improved to 4-0. Navo is 1-3.
Little Elm seventh-grade B 26, Navo 12
Little Elm had enough offense to get past Navo.
Navo (1-3) got its points on two touchdown runs by John Bosquez, who scored from 2 and 40 yards out.
Little Elm improved to 2-2.
Calhoun seventh-grade A 26, McMath 0
Calhoun (4-0) registered a shutout against McMath, but the Tigers weren't without heroics.
Grant Polley for McMath had eight tackles, four for losses. Also, Deo Williams had seven tackles and Chayvion Moore had an interception.
In the B-team game, Calhoun won 6-0.
