Middle school volleyball: Harpool eighth-graders post sweep

Led by Emily Hill, Harpool beat Crownover 25-21, 25-18 in an eighth-grade A game on Thursday night.

Hill had 13 service points while Mallory Ingram had 11 and Tierra Noble added nine.

The Lady Longhorns played very solid to end the season with pinpoint serving, multiple blocks by Hill and Mallory McKnight and solid hitting by Britain Seago and Noble.

Harpool moved to 12-3 while Crownover dropped to 6-3.

Harpool eighth-grade B d. Crownover

Harpool turned back Crownover 25-17, 25-21.

Lead servers for the Lady Longhorns were Shelby Beidle with 14 points, Tara Solomon with 13 points and Amanda Jerger with eight points. Harpool improved to 7-2. Crownover fell to 3-6.

Harpool eighth-grade C d. Crownover

Harpool bounced back to beat Crownover 23-25, 25-10, 15-1.

Lead servers for the Lady Longhorns (5-4) were Abby Stanford and Celeste Castillo both with 18 points apiece. Meanwhile, Ciara Fields had 15 points.

Crownover fell to 4-5.

Harpool seventh-grade A d. Lake Dallas

Harpool upped its record to 8-1 with a 25-7, 25-16 win against Lake Dallas.

For the Lady Longhorns, Isabel Jimenez had eight digs and MacKenize Bland had seven digs. Meanwhile, Brynn Warnack had three kills and Elizabeth Donnelly had two kills. Laura Heard served 16 consecutive service points in game one and a total of 21 in the match.

Lake Dallas seventh-grade B d. Harpool

Lake Dallas rallied to beat Harpool 25-22, 22-25, 26-24.

For Harpool (4-5), Samantha Snyder and Brooke Roberts each had four kills. Madi Freeze had three digs and Kelleigh Anderson had two aces.

Harpool seventh-grade C d. Lake Dallas

Harpool swept Lake Dallas 25-22, 25-23 as Launa Wilson and Natalie Wetherington each had one kill. Wetherington, too, had four aces and eight service points.

Harpool improved its record to 9-1.
