Denton Boys Baseball: Andrews, Flanagan lead Outlaws

Riley Andrews had two hits, drove in two runs and scored three times and Tristan Flanagan turned in a key defensive play as the Denton Outlaws rolled to a 15-0 win over the Little Elm Lightning in NTI 12U league action.

The Outlaws’ Nick Chapman added two hits while Reed Wilhoit had a two-run single and scored twice. Chris Loucks had one hit and two RBIs.

Scott Wisker struck out four and allowed two hits in three innings of work on the mound.

 

15U

Orioles 5, Cubs 4

Jazz Hoelker had a triple and drove in two runs as the Orioles pulled out a 5-4 victory over the Cubs in 15U league action.

Shortstop Anthony Cajilema came up with a key defensive play in the third inning to keep the Cubs from scoring as the Orioles moved to 3-0 on the season.

 

10U Grapefruit

White Sox 9, Red Sox 3

A key defensive play by Liam Daly and the relief pitching of Matthew Bedford led the White Sox to a 9-3 victory over the Red Sox.

Daly made a running catch on a fly ball to keep the Red Sox from scoring in the fourth inning, and Bedford recorded two strikeouts in his first pitching appearance of the season.

Alan Cobble and Brady Russell each had two hits and Cody Kyle added an RBI single as the White Sox remained undefeated.

 

10U Cactus

Rangers 15, Cardinals 14

Deaven Titterington’s bases-loaded triple propelled the Rangers to a come-from-behind victory over the Cardinals.

Trailing 14-10, the Rangers put together a five-run rally with Colten Bland and Brady Foster scoring before Titterington’s game-winning triple.

Caden Hedges also had a big night at the plate with a single and double as the Rangers improved to 4-0.

 

8U Grapefruit

Rangers 11, Yankees 1

Levi McManus turned an unassisted double play as the Rangers scored an 11-1 victory over the Yankees.

Matt Garica led the Rangers’ offense with two hits and two RBIs.

Giants vs. Cubs

Grant Underdahl led the Giants’ offense while Christian Gamel and Brooks Craven turned in key defensive plays against the Cubs.
