Denton Boys Baseball: Red All-Stars rally to even series in 15U

Brandon Harrison and Javon Sherrill combined for a solid pitching performance as the Red All-Stars rolled to a 17-4 victory over the Blue All-Stars to even the best-of-five series at 1-1 in the 15U All-Star playoffs at Mack Park Tuesday.

Harrison fanned seven over four innings to pick up the victory and Sherrill pitched a perfect inning to close out the game.

Max Scalf led the Red team offense with three hits, including a double, while Abel Puente, Tanner Willis, Garrett Sawyer and Harris all had singles and Osvel Gonzales added a double as the Red recovered from a 11-9 loss on Monday night to even the series.


12U Grapefruit

Red All-Stars 14, Blue All-Stars 10

Isaac Santigo, Anthony Caetti and Brady Killham delivered run scoring hits with two outs in the final inning to propel the Red All-Stars to a 14-10 victory over the Blue All-Stars and a 2-0 series lead in the 12U Grapefruit All-Star s best-of-five playoffs series.

In a game filled with offense, Kaden Scheer and Micheal Steward had RBI singles and were joined by Matthew Grigg, Nico Amaya and Wilson Strange with multiple hits to pace the Red squad offensive attack.

Robert Auer, Oscar Gonzalez and Walker David were the offensive standouts for the Blue All-Stars.


10U Cactus

Red All-Stars 13, Blue All-Stars 12

For the second straight night the Red All-Stars used timely hitting from Braeden Roos, John Maxwell, Alex Gloria and Drew Coker and were able to hold off the Blue All-Stars, 13-12, in 10U Cactus All-Star playoff action at Evers Park Tuesday.

Roos had a triple and double while Maxwell and Gloria had doubles and Coker had a single to lead the Red All-Star offense. Randie Ward and Blake Craft each had inside-the-park home runs for the Blue squad. The Red All-Stars hold a 2-0 advantage in the best-of-five series.
