Sub-varsity football: Ryan JV Blue edges past Hebron 14-7

LEWISVILLE — Despite putting up just 208 yards of offense (188 rushing), Ryan’s JV Blue team was able to keep Lewisville out of the end zone until the final quarter of a 14-7 win on Thursday.

Shemar Coleman scored on a 17-yard run in the second quarter, and De’marcus Thompson’s fourth-quarter interception return for a TD put the game out of reach. Coleman had 51 yards on 12 carries, while Andrew Flores added 76 on 16 attempts.

The Raiders host Coppell at 7 p.m. Thursday.

Ryan freshman Blue 26, Hebron 8

Randy Gray reached the end zone twice as the Ryan Blue freshman team defeated Hebron on Thursday.

Gray scored on a 55-yard pass from Josh Branch and later added a 10-yard run.

Tyreke Davis also scored on a 9-yeard run, and Jason Gulley scooped up a fumble and scored from 20 yards out for the Raiders’ defense.

Ryan (5-2) plays at Coppell at 7 p.m. Thursday.
