Middle school volleyball: Schroeder helps Myers sweep Calhoun

The Myers Lady Titans rode the strong play of Nicole Schroeder on Thursday night to roll to a 25-17, 25-14 A-team triumph over the Calhoun Lady Cougars in eighth-grade action.

Schroeder had six aces and six kills to lead the Lady Titans (2-2), while Savanna Phillips finished with five digs.

McMath ‘A’ d. Little Elm

Behind the strong offensive play of Kenzie Riggs, Reagan Wright and Hanna Word, the McMath Lady Tigers knocked off Little Elm 25-15, 25-17.

McMath ‘B’ d. Little Elm

The McMath Lady Tigers, behind the high-energy play of Lucy Vasquez, defeated Little Elm 26-24, 25-19.

McMath ‘C’ d. Little Elm

Erin Farnam led the way with a strong service game as the McMath Lady Tigers defeated Little Elm 25-19, 25-18.

Myers ‘B’ d. Calhoun

Jasmin Pena recorded six aces and Taylor Trimble finished with three as the Myers Lady Titans (1-3) defeated Calhoun 25-17, 25-14.

Myers ‘C’ d. Calhoun

Meleana Rios had 11 straight service points and Shelby Luthin also displayed a strong service game as Myers defeated Calhoun 25-13, 25-14.

Crownover ‘A’ d. Navo

The Crownover Lady Cowboys got great service efforts from Katie Starkey and Sophia Del Rosario to record a hard-fought 25-23, 25-22, 25-17 victory over the Navo Lady Panthers.

Hailey Schneider and Haley Dortch were standouts for the Lady Cowboys (3-1).

Crownover ‘B’ d. Navo

The Crownover Lady Cowboys (3-1) used the strong serving of Jessica Chambers and Sydney Green to roll to a 25-17, 25-11, 15-5 win over Navo.

Seventh grade

McMath ‘A’ d. Little Elm

The McMath Lady Tigers used strong play at the net by Madison Autwell to defeat Little Elm 25-13, 25-11.

Little Elm ‘B’ d. McMath

McMath suffered a 25-16, 25-19 loss to Little Elm but got great defense from London Cunningham and strong net play by Lesly Martinez.

Little Elm ‘B’ d. McMath

London Pollard had a solid service game and strong overall play in McMath’s 25-15, 25-23 loss to Little Elm.

Harpool ‘A’ d. Strickland

Simone Brodersen had 20 services points and two aces as the Harpool Lady Longhorns blasted Strickland, 25-9, 25-6.

Also leading the way for Harpool were Olivia Ramirez with two aces and two kills and Mia Thompson with one kill.

Harpool ‘B’ d. Strickland

Jaryn Jefferson and Paige Griffith had one kill apiece and Maria Victoria Bonilla had three aces in Harpool’s 25-13, 25-22 win over Strickland.

Harpool ‘C’ d. Strickland

Regan Clouse had five service aces and the Harpool Lady Longhorns (2-1) scored a 25-18, 24-26, 15-10 triumph over the Strickland Lady Vikings.

Mikayla Talkington, Sydney McClure, Avery Fouts and Madelynn Hallmark all played well for the Lady Longhorns.

Crownover ‘A’ d. Navo

Behind the strong play of Ella Bridges, the Crownover Lady Cowboys rolled to a 25-11, 25-5 sweep of Navo.

Bridges scored the final six points of the first set to lead the Lady Cowboys (4-0).

Crownover ‘B’ d. Navo

Kate Moala scored 22 points to lead the Crownover Lady Cowboys to a 25-3, 25-18 triumph over the Navo Lady Panthers.

Hannah Prickett, Maddie Mulholland and Audrey Kim were standouts for Crownover (4-0).

Crownover ‘C’ d. Navo

The Crownover Lady Cowboys used strong service games from Kylie Casey, Gianna Hadad and Emma Onstead to sweep Navo 25-6, 25-11.

Casey finished with 13 points, Hadad finished with nine and Onstead had six.
