Middle school volleyball: Myers rallies for first-round triumph

The Myers Lady Titans rallied from a first set loss to record a 23-25, 25-16, 28-26 victory against the Crownover Lady Cowboys on Thursday night in the opening round of the postseason eighth grade district tournament.

Leading the way for the Lady Titans was Nicole Schroeder with seven kills and 11 digs, followed by Savanna Phillips with eight digs. Dyamond Williams and Brooklyn Benedict had three kills each. Kennedy Lamey was the team leader in assist with 16 while Gale Srikhun had six service aces.

Crownover finished the season with a 5-3 record.

Seventh grade

Crownover ‘A;’ d. Myers

The Crownover Lady Cowboys (8-0) remains undefeated for the season after scoring a 25-5, 25-12 victory over the Myers Lady Titans.

Jordyn Williams had a strong game from the service line with 11 points, while Madalyn Cook added a 10 point service point performance.

Harpool ‘A’ d. Lake Dallas

The Harpool Lady Longhorns, behind the strong play of Mia Thompson, Leah Stolfus, Natalie Myers and Olivia Ramirez, advanced in the district tournament with a 25-15, 25-14 victory over Lake Dallas.

Thompson and Stolfus finished the night with two kills and an ace each, Myers had one ace and one tip and Ramirez had four kills and two aces to lead Harpool (6-2).
