Middle school volleyball: Navo rallies for season-opening win against Little Elm

The Navo Lady Panthers had to use a third set rally to seal a 25-20, 23-25, 25-17 win against Little Elm Thursday night in the eighth-grade middle school volleyball season opener.

Tori Ross led the way for the Lady Panthers with five kills. Reagan Nash had four kills, and Taya Svec led the team with 12 assists.

McMath 'A' d. Crownover

The McMath Lady Tigers rallied after dropping the first set to defeat the Crownover Lady Cowboys 24-26, 25-21, 25-12.

Rosie Du led the Lady Tigers with four kills, nine assists and four aces while Abby Folsom had 10 kills and seven assists.

Maggie Walsh led the Crownover attack with multiple kills and serves while Kennedi Wallace and London Hunt had some great kills down the stretch.

McMath 'B' d. Crownover

The Lady Tigers' B-team also put together a strong rally to defeat Crownover 23-25, 25-19, 15-7.

Kayley Robison was instrumental in McMath's win with six aces and played solid defense. Avery Ruiz had seven aces, and Raegan Sullivan had five digs the three aces.

Jorja Pnstead and Bailey Hamilton led the serving game for Crownover while Kaili Morris and Bre Jackson played strong defense.

Crownover 'C' d. McMath

Leilah Hubbard's strong serving help Crownover roll to a 25-12, 25-9 win against McMath.

Reema Russell was the Lady Cowboys' defensive leader.

Jaelynn Miller had 11 aces and Nadia Brown had six kills and five aces to led McMath.

Crownover 'A' d. McMath

 Emily Johnson  seven straight service points helped the Crownover Lady Cowboys to a 25-22, 25-20 victory against McMath.

Kyndal Stowers was also a standout for Crownover with Kaylie Morgan and Avery Sims.

Katelyn Thomas led the way for the Lady Tigers with six digs, nine aces, 13 service points and three kills. Eleanor Tucker and Brooke Stewart each had two aces, and Sarah Woods finished with two digs.

Crownover 'B' d. McMath

Crownover used the strong play of Tyra Phillips and Kate Weatherly in its 25-16, 25-23 win against McMath.

Playing well for McMath was Maggie Wainscott with nine service points and two aces, Elaine Pharr with one kills and two aces, Landry Hill with two aces and Mary Ramon with one.

Crownover 'C' d. McMath

The Lady Cowboys rallied after dropping the first set for a 23-25, 25-19, 15-9 win against the Lady Tigers.

Wyntre Childers, Landry Sololosky and Tatum McClain led the way for Crownover.

Konisha Cuellar was the team leader for the Lady Tigers with nine service points, Rylee Risdon added eight and Hailey Rodriguez finished with six.  

Harpool 'A' d. Strickland

Hailey Christman had three service points and one tip and Anna Woodlin had six service points as the Harpool Lady Longs defeated Strickland 26-24, 25-16.

Strickland 'B' d. Harpool

Natalie Mayes led Harpool with four service points in its 14-25, 8-25 loss to Strickland.

Strickland 'C' d. Harpool

The Lady Vikings rallied after a first set loss to score a 16-25, 25-20, 15-9 win against Harpool.

Daisey Hatfield, Summer Shuster, Hannah Sydow and Hailey Jones each had service aces for Harpool.

Myers 'A' d. Rodriguez

Kadyn Bull and Presley Pattrick each had seven service points in a row as the Myers Lady Titans defeated the Rodriguez Lady Vipers 25-23, 25-11.

Myers 'B' d. Rodriguez

Behind the strong service games of Zoe Knight and Tayla Barnett, the Lady Titans rolled to a 25-21, 25-22 win against Rodriguez.

Lake Dallas 'A' d. Calhoun

Despite strong play from Ali McKenna, Madilyn Gibson and E'Leigha Harrington, the Calhoun Lady Cougars lost to Lake Dallas  25-23, 20-25, 25-19.

McKenna finished the evening with 10 service points, Gibson added nine and Harrington was outstanding around the net.

Lake Dallas 'B' d. Calhoun

Gia McKenna was the top server for the Lady Cougars in their loss to Lake Dallas 25-23, 25-20.

Lake Dallas 'C' d. Calhoun

Marissa Brock and Carter Sanchez led a strong service game in Calhoun's loss to Lake Dallas 18-25, 25-17, 15-11.
