Blotter

A man fired one shot near two people who he said were attempting to steal a part from his truck Tuesday morning, according to a police report.

He was not charged with a crime, and police said they did not find the two alleged culprits.

The police report shows the man heard a commotion outside his home, in the 500 block of North Loop 288. He looked outside and saw the hood of his truck open and two people fiddling with it, so he stepped outside and fired one shot into the grass near the vehicle, the report shows.
