University of North Texas students will host Brain STEMS on Wednesday at the Denton North Branch Library.

The event from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. will have children ages 8 to 14 learn how to create a model airplane out of household materials.

In the past, other engineering projects at the event included things like building bridges with Popsicle sticks and egg drops.

The Society of Women Engineers created the program in the fall of 2015, and it is run completely by volunteers in the College of Engineering.
